Drift
Learn the physics of drifting, drift initiation, angle and speed control, transitions, and how to safely complete maneuvers along a designated racing line.
All training takes place under the supervision of a professional instructor, using a vehicle specially prepared for drifting.
Admission Requirements
- A valid driving license for the relevant vehicle category and confident basic driving skills.
- Practical approval by the instructor; completion of DR–01 or DA–02 is recommended.
- If using your own vehicle, it must be rear-wheel drive and meet the academy’s technical requirements.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the fundamentals of traction loss, weight transfer, and drift angle.
- Initiate a drift using techniques appropriate for the vehicle’s configuration.
- Coordinate countersteering and throttle input to maintain a stable drift angle.
- Control drifts in both large and small circles and safely bring the maneuver to an end.
- Perform direction changes and figure-eight transitions, following the designated line and clipping zones within the assigned training layout.
