Data Kajaia will participate in TCR

Georgian racer Data Kajaia, who became winner in European Touring Cup Championship, from new season will participate in TCR.

The series covers all continents and several stages will be held with Formula 1 partnership status. Kajaia has contract with German team “Engstler” with whom he won in ETCC TC2T.

Georgian Racer won 9 races from 12 . This was the reason that Team Chief Franz Engstler offered contract to Kajaia.

In TCR will participate several Automobile companies like “Volkswagen” “Seat” “Honda” “Volvo” “Opel” “Alfa Romeo” , each of them has big experience in Touring class and they are getting ready for race. In TCR will participate Dushan Borkovich, who got Champion titule in “Seat” Mono class. He will battle with “Seat Leon”.

“Engstler Motorsport” didn’t name other pilots yet. As Data said, his teammate will be Mikhail Grachov (Russia) , who took 8th place in TCR on last season. Important is that Grachov has experience and his partnership will be good for Data.

Also with misidentified information , the German team will have 3rd car and it will be driven with different pilots. The pilot will be choosen by the country where stages will be held . Finally we know that  Data’s new racing car will be “Volkswagen golf”.
